Professor Michele Lamons-Raiford is the epitome of what it means to write like one needs it to survive and the world is better for it! She is a Master-Chronicler of the seasons we find ourselves in as individuals and as a collective. A gifted storyteller, wife, mom, educator, and friend amplifying the unheard voices of our sacred teaching profession and looking deeply into the experiences of overlooked communities through a freshly unique lens that you never see coming.

Source: Barnes and NobleI skipped around and was reading articles based on the titles. Michelle's work is spot on. As I read, I know I am listening to an authentic voice. She makes me feel like I am not crazy for feeling the way feel or moving the way I move. Her perspective is fresh, insightful and courageous. This text is a must read and helps me center my purpose.

Source: Barnes and NobleThe book "The Education Pandemic: Chronicles of a Black Teacher in America," compiled by Michele Lamons-Raiford, does a fantastic job of capturing the struggles and injustices that black educators deal with daily. Michele's chronicles, which describe and elevate the voices of African American educators in America, are both a great representation and an urgent call to action.

Source: Barnes and NobleI was looking for a book to help explain Autism to my sons in story form. It’s perfect! A beautiful story about befriending others regardless of any differences and remaining loyal even if your connection doesn’t seem to make sense to others. Both of my sons loved it. Highly recommend!

Source: Barnes and NobleMichele Lamons-Raiford generously shares her own experiences as a Caring, Strong, Black Woman and as an Educational Powerhouse, while simultaneously employing her empathy super-powers to dive deep into the experiences of other Educators, other Mama (and Papa and Gender Non-Binary) Bears, and other Families during and post-Pandemic Quarantine Times. If you are looking for a way to reflect upon your own Pandemic experiences, or you want a real-life glimpse into the struggles of the educational system that the Pandemic so potently brought to light, this collection of essays is the right place to turn. Smart, vulnerable, and loving, this book and this author will give you some delicious food for thought.
